My name is Chris Lafleur,
I’ll be your sommelier this evening.
Chris has a background in Musical Theatre studies, but while working as a server one fated summer, he discovered that the world of wines was the perfect blending of his love for craftsmanship, hospitality, and the art of storytelling.
And the rest was history.
A Sommelier certified by the Court of Master Sommeliers, Chris has since worked on the floors of acclaimed Toronto restaurants, including Blueblood Steakhouse, Cibo Wine Bar, and Michelin Star rated Don Alfonso 1890 (named the #1 Best Italian Restaurant in the World, outside of Italy) where he worked with an expansive wine selection and an emphasis on Italian reds.
When not sharing his deep-seated knowledge front-of-house, Chris runs wine, whiskey, and tequila tastings with the Sommelier Company and crafts bespoke wine-related workshops and tutorials for restaurants and events.
Chris can currently be found on the Tasting Panel for Cameron Hughes Wines. Chris has also partnered with Kyle Garrett and Amber Crosby of Seven Summits to craft customized tasting videos for wineries seeking to tell their story.
